Our Day as Emperor Penguins

Today, we have been paired up with a 'mate' and have been emperor penguins for the day. We worked with our mate to carefully transport our egg from one side of the hall to the other. We weren't allowed to touch our egg with our hands, only our feet and knees.

Each pair was given a chick (a quiet critter) to look after for the day. We had to take them out to play and take them for lunch. We had to work with our mate as a team to take care of our chicks. If we lost our chick, dropped our chick or argued over our chick, it would not survive.

In English, we worked with our mate to create an emperor penguin egg life cycle full of facts.

What a busy day parenting we have had!
