Sports Day 2023

Competitive Events

In classes the children competed against each other in 4 different events to find the winner in each event. The children competed in:

  •         Standing long jump
  •         Vertical High Jump
  •         Javelin
  •         Discus

Everyone who competed had a fantastic positive attitude and showed great sportsmanship towards each other, encouraging everyone to do their best. The winners were presented with certificates.

 

During the afternoon the children completed running races in year groups in separate groups of boys and girls. The winners got a medal and stickers were awarded for 2nd and 3rd place.

Sports Day

We based our sports day this year around the theme of the Women’s Football World Cup which is happening in Australia and New Zealand later this year. The children were grouped into different countries and worked together to collect points as a team. The teams were mixed and had children from Nursery to Year 6 children in them.

The children took part in the following events:

  •         Obstacle course
  •         Throws
  •         Buckaroo
  •         Sack race
  •         High jump
  •         Cricket
  •         Water relay

Everyone had great fun and cheered everyone along during each of the events showing great team spirit. 

This year the winning team was South Africa with 2758 points and the team received a medal. Certificates were presented to 2nd place France with 2752 points and 3rd place United States with 2561 points.
